YAKIMA, WA - Now that Christmas has passed, it's time to start thinking about how you will get rid of your Christmas tree.

Camp Primetime started their 24th annual free Christmas tree recycling program Thursday in Yakima. The service is free but donations are encouraged. All the money benefits the camp for disabled and seriously ill children.

"Recycle the trees instead of being thrown on the roadside or in the land fill or something like that." Jim Russell of Camp Primetime said. "Plus it helps keep Camp Primetime going and that's important."

The recycling service has two locations in Yakima, on Fruitvale Avenue and on West Washington Avenue. Last year, the event raised $15,000 for the camp.
