TRI-CITIES, WA - The Tri-Cities Union Gospel Mission is getting a big donation, thanks to several McDonald's restaurants in the area.
McDonald's restaurants around the Tri-Cities agreed to donate 40 cents for every drink sold in the weeks leading up to Christmas to the Union Gospel Mission.
On Thursday, a McDonald's spokeswoman told NBC Right Now that all those drink sales totaled up to a $125,000 donation to the Mission.
The money will help the Union Gospel Mission continue their many programs.
"They do it all. It's not just food, it's not just room-nights. It's giving people help with their GED, help with jobs, medical support, they do everything here and their numbers just keep growing and growing. So, we're really happy and honored to be partnering with them and helping this to happen," said Betty Adams of Adams Tri-Cities Enterprises.
Adams Tri-Cities Enterprises owns and operates ten McDonalds restaurants in Kennewick, Pasco and Richland.
