PASCO, WA - NBC Right Now got a look inside the newly remodeled Pasco branch of the Mid-Columbia Library system across from Memorial Park Tuesday morning.

It features more than $140,000 in upgrades including new shelving, paint, furniture and art.

Mid-Columbia Libraries Executive Director Kyle Cox said, "Mid-Columbia Libraries is one of the most heavily visited public facilities in our entire region. We had over two million visitors last year to our libraries. So it's important that our facilities, our buildings are comfortable, that they're pleasing because people spend a lot of time here."

The public, grand opening celebration of the newly remodeled Pasco Library is Thursday at 10:30 am.

It's at 1320 Hopkins Street.

Mid-Columbia Libraries plans to remodel all of their older branches in the next few years, in Prosser, Othello, Connell and then Kennewick.
