Basketball Has Shaped Gonzaga's Gerard Coleman

Posted:
Junior guard Gerard Coleman has made an immediate impact for Gonzaga's basketball team after transferring from Providence College and sitting out the 2012-'13 due to NCAA transfer regulations.

Coleman was 54th in ESPNU's Top 100 prospects poll for the 2010 class before he chose to attend Providence. While with the Friars Coleman averaged 10.3 points per game as a freshman and 13.1 ppg as a sophomore.

This season Coleman has shown he is able to score points in bursts dropping in 19 points against Chaminade on Nov. 26 and 21 points vs. New Mexico State on Dec.7. This past Sunday, Dec. 30, the Boston native scored 10 points off of the bench in the Zags short-handed 69-41 win over San Francisco.
