UPDATE:

SPOKANE, Wash. - The couple involved in the car crash at Crestline and Francis early New Year's Day are still in the hospital. While the man remains in serious condition, his wife has been moved to stable condition and it looks like their unborn child is doing just fine.

UPDATE:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police Department told KHQ that the victims were married, and the wife was pregnant. Both victims were seriously injured, and police think that the woman might have lost her baby because of the crash. We don't know the full extent of her injuries, but we know her husband is very seriously hurt. He suffered head neck and leg fractures.

Brian Hoofman kicked an officer in the face, and kicked a hospital worker as well, which is why police charged him with two counts of assaulting an officer.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Just before 2AM New Years Day, authorities responded to a two vehicle accident at Francis and Crestline. A man driving alone in a maroon car crashed into a silver car carrying two people. When police arrived, both people in the silver car were unconscious and were rushed to a hospital. The female passenger in that car was transported with serious injuries and the male driver has possible life threatening injuries.

Officers said they thought they could smell alcohol on the breath of the driver of the maroon car. That driver has been identified as 25-year-old Brian Hoofman. After the accident Hoofman was also taken to the hospital but was released and taken into custody just after 7AM and charged with two counts of assaulting an officer and two counts of vehicular assault.

It is still unconfirmed what Hoofman's blood alcohol level was and if he was driving under the influence.

The intersection of Francis and Crestline was closed for several hours and reopened around 6AM.

A Spokane business owner says enough is enough after finding human feces in front of her doorstep three days in a row. The incidences happened at Neat Old Stuff located at 3rd and Bernard. The shop's owner, CP Phare, has been in the same location for the last decade and says suspicious activity has ramped up in the last year, but nothing like what's been happening over the last few days. "There's like surprise packages usually two-to-three times a week,"
