YAKIMA, WA - Camp Prime Time in Yakima is not seeing as many Christmas trees being recycled this year.

Organizers of the recycled Christmas tree program said they think numbers are down because more people are using artificial trees.

With fewer trees and donations coming in they said this will have a negative impact on their summer programs, however they are being optimistic.

"We're about 1/3 to halfway through our normal revenue that we expect to receive. We had really good days yesterday and the day before so we're thinking today, tomorrow and Saturday should be good days," said Camp Prime Time volunteer Ralph Berthon.

This is the last weekend to bring in your tree for recycling at the two locations on Fruitvale Avenue and on West Washington Avenue.
