KENNEWICK, WA - A recent survey shows that the number two New Year's resolution for 2014 is to get organized.
Researchers say resolutions often fail because people aren't ready to change their habits or their goals and expectations are unrealistic. That's where organizer expert Aaron Umbarger comes in. It's his livelihood to de-clutter your home or business.
He tells NBC Right Now prioritizing first is the key. Figure out what's most used or most important to you, set it aside, and then go from there.
"When I finish, I do a little walk through with them and the best part about it is seeing the relief on their face of the pressure just coming off and sometimes the tears," said Aaron Umbarger, A-List Organizing.
Umbarger charges by the job but says his prices are fair and affordable. He's mostly organized garages and storage units but says he's up for just about any challenge.
