YAKIMA, WA - The Yakima Valley Museum is a hidden treasure. At least, that's what USA TODAY is saying.
Yakima's museum ranks as one of the top ten museums in the nation with unique cultural exhibits.
USA TODAY specifically mentioned two quilts. One constructed of robes worn by members of the Klu Klux Klan, and the other decorated with Swastikas before Hitler's rise to power.
Yakima's museum director said they have a quarter of a million artifacts, and many are one of a kind.
"The fact that people recognize us from outside," said John Baule, the Yakima Valley Museum Director. "We notice more and more when we look on our trip advisor account that people are always surprised when they come here."
Baule said people should watch out for a major exhibit sometime this year, showcasing the nationally recognized quilts.
