YAKIMA, WA - On Wednesday, a semi-truck from second harvest will stop at the Grace Lutheran Church south of Nob Hill Boulevard to hand out food to low-income families.

They started doing this three years ago and the pastor said they always see great community support when it comes to giving back.

"It's exciting for us because we've literally been able to help thousands of people.  Normally we have between 250 and 300 households come and each household gets a couple boxes of food," said Pastor James Turriff.

You can pick up food between noon and 2:00 in the afternoon at the church on South 7th Avenue.

You do not need to make an appointment, the pastor said to just show up and bring a box or two to fill.
