MOSES LAKE, WA - Highway 17 south of Moses Lake is open again after a large ethanol spill.
The Washington State Patrol says at least 1,000 gallons of ethanol spilled from a tanker trailer after it flipped over on the highway.
Troopers say the driver lost control on Tuesday and hit a guard rail. The tanker eventually stopped, blocking both lanes.
The roadway closed for about 12 hours while the Environmental Protection Agency cleaned up the spill. The EPA brought in a crane to help lift the tanker.
Troopers say they cited the driver for driving too fast in the conditions. No one got hurt.
