WALLA WALLA, WA - NBC Right Now has uncovered new information in the murder of a Walla Walla woman last week.
20-year-old Yesica Olivos was shot and killed either late New Year's Eve or early New Year's day and her body was found three days later.
Olivos knew all of the people involved with her murder and had been hanging out with them in the days leading up to her death.
17-year-old Carlos Valdez is in custody, charged with Olivos' murder and Walla Walla Sheriff John Turner said the young man is involved with gangs in the area.
Police in Spokane arrested two others on Tuesday night, as well, for rendering criminal assistance.
"What happens now is that we'll be bringing the juvenile suspect and the two others that were arrested in Spokane back to Walla Walla County and then we'll work in conjunction with the prosecutors office to file charges and prosecute them for their crimes," said Sheriff Turner.
An anonymous tip in the probable cause affidavit claims "Yesica 'needed to be dead' for apparently not being the person she should be according to this group."
The Sheriff said he hopes to have Valdez back in Walla Walla County by the end of the week.
