WSU to Launch Online Master's Degree for Electric Engineering
PULLMAN, WA - Washington State University is launching a new online master's degree program to be able to graduate more electrical power engineering students in the near future.
WSU says it plans to start the program next fall because the country expects a growing need for more electrical power engineers, since nearly 50of engineers in the power industry will be eligible to retire in the next five years.
The program will add to WSU's online graduate programs for engineering offerings, which include a master's degree in engineering technology management.
The school says throughout the online program, students will analyze power systems, transmission lines and power markets.
They will also learn "professional topics" like finance, project management and the law as it applies to the electrical power industry.
The two-year program will also require an internship.
