PHOTOS: Local Student Wows The Community With Impressive Horse Sculpture

KHQ.COM - A local high school senior has extraordinary skills. Ashley Lewis created a horse sculpture for one of her classes. You can tell by the photos that Ashley is clearly gifted, passionate and loves what she does. We thought we would share her work with all of you! Ashley named the horse Danny, he is 7 ft 6 in from head to hoof. The school and Ashley decided to sell some of her work, so not only did she learn, but she earned a little cash on the side.Way to go Ashley, we're so proud of you!

     TOKYO (AP) - A disaster official says at least nine people have been injured by an apparent volcanic eruption and avalanche near a ski resort in central Japan.    Gunma prefectural official Ken Kiryu said Tuesday that details were still unclear but the people may have been injured by flying rocks, broken glass or the avalanche.
