YAKIMA, WA - Firefighters rescued a 65-year-old man who was trapped in his semi-truck this Wednesday morning after he took a turn too quickly.

Troopers said Jim Comella was driving fast as he turned onto the "on ramp" for Interstate 82 near Selah.

He went off the road and the truck rolled on its side, along with one of the trailers it was towing.

The driver was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries and troopers said he'll likely face charges.

"Yes, so far initial observations show that it will probably be speed," said Trooper Clayton Gocha.

State patrol said the Department of Transportation has closed the ramp for the time being. No exact time on when it will reopen.

Troopers said the driver was wearing his seatbelt and no one else was injured.
