K-9 Unit Find Eluding Suspect In Spokane Valley

Posted: Updated:
KHQ.COM - On Tuesday morning, January 14th, 2014, at about 1:30 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s K9 Deputy Tyler Kullman and his partner Deacon assisted Liberty Lake P.D. in locating the driver of a vehicle they had been in a short pursuit with. Liberty Lake Officers told Deputy Kullman they had been in a short vehicle pursuit before the passenger and driver, later identified as 21-year-old Christopher K. Humphrey, ran from the vehicle.

Deputy Kullman and Deacon tracked Humphrey through several yards and found him hiding next to a house behind a tree. Deputy Kullman told Humphrey multiple times to come out from behind the tree. Humphrey refused to cooperate and Deacon detained him behind the tree before deputies took him into custody.

Humphrey told Deputy Kullman he knew Deacon had located him and said he did not follow commands because he did not want to get caught. Kullman was booked into jail for Felony Eluding.
