RICHLAND, WA - On Saturday, January 18th, the Richland Library will be hosting a children's event to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr.

Beginning at 11 a.m., children ages 3 through 12 and their parents are invited to the Richland library to learn more about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

There will be two Seattle based celebrities including international educator Reagan Jackson and jazz singer Felicia Loud.

The program is hosted by the African American Community Cultural and Educational Society, the Mid-Columbia Reading Foundation and the Friends of the Library.

The reading foundation will provide a variety of free books during this event.

"African American community, we have people of the Asian American community. We have people from all over the world. So when there's a special event commemorating somebody, we want to be part of it," Ann Roseberry of the Richland Public Library told us.

The library is located at 955 Northgate Drive in Richland.

You can read more about the event in the current issue of "Tu Decides," the bilingual newspaper.
