WSU Women Drop First Pac-12 Game to Utah

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Michelle Plouffe scored four points in the final seconds and upset Washington State 59-57 in a conference thriller on Sunday.

Utah's Plouffe scored inside the paint, tying the score at 57 and following a missed layup by the Cougars, Plouffe hit the game-winning layup with 1 second remaining.

The game was nip-and-tuck down the stretch with WSU going up by six-points with 3:42 remaining on a Sage Romberg basket.

Utah

scored the next six points_four by Emily Potter_to knot the game at 53. WSU's Taylor Edmondson hit a jumper at 1:02 putting WSU up 57-55, setting up Plouffe's heroics.
