Adams Live From CenturyLink Field

Dr. Dre, Macklemore, Jeremy Renner... is this the NFC Championship Game or a Laker game? This is absolutely nuts, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

The tension and electricity here has been building since Saturday. A single Seahawk fan stood watch all night, hurling anti-Niner and pro-Seahawk comments through a megaphone while perched on a makeshift podium outside CenturyLink Field. That man is far from alone today.

I spotted countless celebrities and media icons cramming the sidelines before the game. Joe Buck mugging for a shot with Seattle's own Macklemore. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell ushering his wife and kids (one of which he recently revealed he plays fantasy football with) onto the field. They, of course, immediately gravitated towards Taima, the "real" hawk that resides in Cheney. I don't know who drew bigger crowds, Taima or legendary rap artist Dr. Dre. It was close.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention my chance encounter with Dwight Clark. We boarded the press elevator and struck up a conversation, and to my surprise, he pulled up a chair and joined me for lunch. Absolutely unbelievable moment. Let's not forget, "The Catch" came in a dynasty-defining NFC Championship Game that turned the tide from the Cowboys to the Niners to start the 1980's. One has to wonder if Golden Tate or Doug Baldwin will make a similar catch for the Seahawks to kick off a dynasty in Seattle. There was only one "Catch," but today feels like something special between the Seahawks and Niners. And I can't wait.

    • Reviewing OOTP '15, Mariners Still Break Hearts in Baseball Video Game

This lengthy build-up leads me to one sincere question: Did the 2001 season doom the Seattle Mariners franchise? If the M's had won the World Series that year, would we be talking about a dynasty? Out of the Park Baseball 15 allows baseball fans to answer that question.

I knew ahead of time that Todd McFarlane would be there signing autographs, so that was a lucky break.
