RICHLAND, WA - The WSU Tri-Cities nursing program now has a bigger and better facility on Lee Boulevard in Richland.

School administrators cut the ribbon Thursday to mark the opening of the building and invite the public in for an open house.

The new building offers simulation labs and new technology to support undergrad and graduate students in the same facility.

"A wonderful place from them to be in terms of simulation labs and high quality education. It also allows us to take the next step in terms of nurse practitioner and graduate education in this region," said Patricia Butterfield, WSU Nursing School Dean.

Several local hospitals partnered to donate $3 million to support the building.

And Kadlec Regional Medical Center offers the space to WSU Tri-Cities for a $1 per year lease.
