BEIJING (AP) - A U.S. diplomat is asking North Korea to pardon imprisoned American Kenneth Bae (bay), saying he's in poor health and needs to return home.

U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Policy Glyn Davies held talks today with Chinese officials in Beijing on how to persuade the North to return to nuclear disarmament talks.

Bae was arrested in November 2012 while leading a tour group and was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for unspecified anti-government activity.
