RICHLAND, WA. - The search for three bank robbery suspects continues after Friday's bank robbery at Numerica Credit Union in Richland.

NBC Right Now looked back at bank robberies in our area in the last year to find out if they are common or not or if they ever go unsolved. We found out they are not common.

This bank robbery on Friday was the first in the last year for Richland.

Earlier last year Hermiston Police shot and killed a man who robbed a bank and then in May someone tried to rob a the Bank of the West in Pasco, the robber in that case was never found.

Finally a woman in Pendleton got away with robbing a U.S. Bank last July.
The Pasco Police Department said Monday it is sometime hard to catch a bank robber.

"Statistically if you look at bank robberies ,my guess is that, I don't know probably 80 percent of them go unsolved nationwide as far as bank robberies occur," said Captain Jim Raymond, Pasco Police Department.

Captain Raymond said it is also hard to find suspects because they are often not from the area.
