NBCRightNow.com - Potato farmers and producers in Washington state are getting into the 12th man spirit.

Since the potato industries are dominant in both Washington state and Colorado, the Washington State Potato Commission is making a wager with the commission in Colorado.

Ryan Holterhoff, a director for the Washington Commission, says for every point the winning team scores in the Super Bowl the losing state will donate 500 pounds of potato's.

"So when the Seahawks win, 47 to 3, that'll be 25,000 pounds of potatoes that the Colorado growers are sending to a food bank here in Washington," said Ryan Holterhoff, WA State Potato Commission.

Washington state produces more than 9-billion pounds of potato's every year.
