Mattawa Man Injured in Shooting, Deputies Look for Shooter

SCHWANA, WA - Grant County detectives are trying to figure out who shot and injured a 22-year-old man from Mattawa on Saturday. 

Deputies say Robert Hernandez walked into the Outpost Grocery at 20476 B Street Southwest in Schwana around 4:15 PM on February 1st with a bullet wound to his belly.

Paramedics took him to Quincy Valley Medical Center, and then later to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he underwent surgery and is now in stable condition.

Deputies say Hernandez is not cooperating with investigators about who shot him or where the shooting happened.
