YAKIMA, WA - Washington's dream came true. The Seahawks won and the party started. They may have partied a little too hard in the streets of Seattle. Monday, they were celebrating in Yakima too.
It's the day after the Super Bowl, a Monday, and we all have to go back to work. Still, Sunday is fresh on the mind.
"I can't believe they Seahawks finally won the Super Bowl," Nate Rola said. "It's like my life's dream, its nuts."
New Yak City was quiet this morning. But one customer had just returned from the crazy streets of the Emerald City.
"Cop cars everywhere, caution tape, police trying to control everything," Demarius Morgan said. "It was wild man."
You won't find any Seahawks gear left around here but there are plenty of other apparel.
"49ers stuff doesn't sell well here," Nate said.
For that you'll have to head over to JC Penny in Union Gap where the manager drove to Seattle at 3 am Monday morning to pick up Super Bowl shirts.
"I've been waiting 38 years to buy this shirt,"one customer said.
Besides clothing, fans are also taking vacations to celebrate the win.
"My plan is to do what my 10-year-old son Jaden wants to do," Ray Schafer said. "He wants to go to Omaha."
That should show Payton Manning, the Broncos quarterback famous for shouting "Omaha" at the line of scrimmage.
"We're going to be decked out in our Seahawks gear," Schafer said.
It's the day after the Seahawks shocked the world and it's time to go back to reality.
