RICHLAND, WA - A 3,500 pound oven imported from Italy is the centerpiece of the new Stick + Stone Neapolitan Wood-Fired Pizza restaurant in Richland.
The eatery on Duportail Street serves pizza made with fresh dough, salads, appetizers and desserts. They also serve local wines and have eight craft beers on tap.
Michael Miller manages the restaurant, and his father, Craig Miller, and Rob Hopp are financial partners.
HDG Design & Architects of Spokane transformed the 3,200 square-foot space using a lot of warm, rough wood with wrought iron accents. Large glass doors will open up onto a patio during summer months.
"We approached a design firm with our name, Stick and Stone, and they developed what we have today," says co-owner Michael Miller. "We pulled a lot of things we've seen in other restaurants in Seattle, Salt Lake City and Bend, Oregon and kind of brought that all here!"
John Wells Construction of Spokane was general contractor for the improvements.
Stick + Stone is located at 3027 Duportail Street in Richland, across from the Gold's Gym off of Queensgate.
