UPDATE/NEAR BENTON CITY, WA - A woman from Kennewick is in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a rollover crash.

The Washington State Patrol says 32-year-old Lucy Reis may have fallen asleep at the wheel Wednesday night when she lost control on Interstate 82, rolled the car and crashed into an exit sign between Benton City and Prosser.

Paramedics took her to the Kadlec Regional Medical Center with severe head injuries. They later airlifted her to Harborview.

"If you're feeling drowsy at all and you're driving down the road," said WSP Trooper Jerrica Fowler. "Pull over to the shoulder or take the next exit and take a little nap so you're awake and alert as you're driving down the road."

Paramedics also took a passenger in the car, 54-year-old Brion Grigsby to Kadlec Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Troopers say both people in the car had been wearing their seatbelts.
