YAKIMA, WA - The 5th annual CPR Save A Life Blitz is happening at the Yakima Convention Center Saturday morning between 9:00 and 11:00.

At the educational sessions, you will learn how to perform CPR, how to use AEDs, and get a free take-home kit to practice your new skills.

Medical responders said education is the key when it comes to saving someone's life.

"CPR is a very simple skill and it's something you can truly do to save someone's life.  When someone is in cardiac arrest, they need CPR; they need the blood to be flowing throughout their body.  They need the AED put on there for electric shock to restart their heart and get it going in the proper rhythm," said David Lynde from American Medical Response.

There are two English sessions at 9:00 and 10:00 in the morning, and a Spanish session at 11:00.

It is free to attend, and you do not need to register beforehand.
