Local Towing Companies Busy with Weather-Related Accidents
PASCO, WA - Tow truck companies were hard at work Saturday, after another storm dumped more snow across the region.
Dustin Jaeger, the owner of Jaeger Towing in Pasco, said he doubled his staff because of the amount of calls they were receiving. Dozens of cars ended up on the side of the highway and in ditches after sliding off the road due to the snow.
Jaeger said days like today can be stressful for tow truck drivers.
"It's call after call after call. We have to deal with, not only local police, but state patrol and we do AAA--so we get 10-15 calls in about 15 minutes," explained Jaeger.
Jaeger added that the trick to handling a large amount of calls in bad weather, is to dress in layers and have three to four extra pairs of gloves.
