KENNEWICK, WA - A woman from Kennewick is facing charges for trafficking stolen property after police say she stole audiobooks and tried to sell them.
Kennewick Police say 60-year-old Maria Esquivel stole $1245.73 worth of audiobooks from the Barnes & Noble store at the Columbia Center around 8:00pm Monday.
Police say Esquivel brought in three bags from Barnes & Noble and used them to steal the books.
Esquivel set off the security system as she left, but police say she was gone before they arrived.
Police say about an hour later Esquivel tried to sell the audio books at the Hastings store in Richland.
Richland Police arrested Esquivel after employees at Hastings called 9-1-1.
