Shirley Temple Dies At Age 85

WOODSIDE, Calif. (AP) - Former child star Shirley Temple is dead at age 85. Shirley Temple Black died last night, surrounded by her family at her home near San Francisco.
   
The talented singer, dancer and actress was the top box-office draw beginning in 1935 - when she was 7- until 1938.
   
And she was credited with helping save 20th Century Fox from bankruptcy with her films.
   
She retired from films at age 21, and held several diplomatic posts, including ambassador to Czechoslovakia in the late 1980s.
