COWICHE, WA - Some disappointing news for the Highland School District in Cowiche Tuesday night.

The school district needed 63 percent of the vote to pass an $8.5 million bond, but they only got 58 percent.

The superintendent said they hope some of the late ballots will have more "yes" votes and that the bond will ultimately end up passing.

The money would be used for renovating three schools, adding a new technical building and making other upgrades.
