Johnson and Rypien Visit Sacred Heart Children's Hospital

Tampa Bay Lightning center Tyler Johnson and former Super Bowl MVP Mark Rypien visited Sacred Heart Children's Hospital yesterday, Feb. 12. Rypien and the former Spokane Chief star handed out autographed mini-hockey sticks and chatted with patients and their family's. 

Johnson is back in his home town of Spokane for about a week because of the National Hockey League's Olympic break. Currently he sits in second place among NHL rookies in scoring with 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists) and is in the running for the Calder Memorial Trophy (NHL Rookie of the Year).

Rypien is a familiar face at SHCH in conjunction with his charity, the Rypien Foundation, which provide's hope for families battling childhood cancer.
