WEST RICHLAND, WA - We found a 'sweet' store in West Richland for this week's Throwback Thursday feature.
Baum's House of Chocolates opened more than 30 years ago. It has changed hands a few times, moved locations once and also expanded to offer gourmet popcorn.
Despite the changes, the recipes are the same and it all started with the first owner's old english toffee. It's even been voted best in the Pacific Northwest!
"She actually started with the toffee and it became a very popular but she wanted to add in new recipes so she started traveling through Europe and studying abroad with European chocolatiers and then over the years, added on regular recipes that were handed down through her family and other people," said Manager Kristin Gustin.
The peanut butter cups are another fan favorite.
Baum's offers more than 90 different chocolates and close to 50 popcorn flavors.
The store at 4033 Van Giesen Street, Suite H will be open all day on Valentine's Day, until the last customer stops in.
