The list began back in 1950 when Thomas Holden was the first fugitive to be placed on the FBI's newly created "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list. Holden was arrested just over a year after receiving the distinct honor. Since then, the likes of James Earl Ray, James "Whitey" Bulger, Ted Bundy, and Osama bin Laden have been on the list.More >>

Tips to avoid being bit include avoiding areas where the bugs are popular, wearing long sleeves and pants, wearing clothing that is light colored as well as utilizing bug spray. Sara Bunke has taking these precautions but the flies are still eating up her son.

The MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew safely transported the hiker to waiting emergency medical service personnel at a local casino parking lot.
