PASCO, WA - Two men are in custody after crashing a car into another vehicle in Pasco and then running away.

Pasco police say the incident happened Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. near Lewis Street and 8th Avenue. Officers caught the men just a few blocks away and both men had warrants out for their arrest.

"When the officer didn't just go away, apparently he decided to drive a little faster. At that point the officer said, he was going to terminate trying to stop the vehicle and moments later advised they had been in a collision," Sgt. Jason Miller with the Pasco Police Department told NBC Right Now.

Longfellow Elementary was put on lockdown as a precaution.
