KENNEWICK, WA - A group of Kennewick High School students knows "what it's all about, man."
No, these kids aren't giving their teachers lip - it's "The Woodstock Project."
The Kennewick High School Madhatters and the drama and music departments have all come together to put on an original production!
About 30 kids are involved in the musical that involves plenty of singing and dancing.
"Few years back, I did an original show when I was teaching at Chiawana. It was called "The Beatles, A Love Story," or excuse me "The Beatles, A Story of Love," and it was very successful show. And I'm just hoping to kind of step in those same steps and have another successful show," Kennewick HS Choir Director Debi Eng told our reporter.
Now this show, as you can probably guess, is about Woodstock.
A high school girl asks her grandpa for help with her assignment on the 1960's decade.Turns out, her grandpa was a 'roadie' at the musical festival and takes us back in time to the iconic rock festival.
You can catch the musical Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7PM in the Kennewick High School Auditorium. There's also a matinee Saturday at 2PM.
