YAKIMA, WA-- Saturday night, a little slice of Hollywood is coming to Downtown Yakima.
The red carpet premier of White Roses will be at the Capitol Theatre.
Made by local filmmaker, Josh Hodgins, this film touches on issues of domestic abuse and teen suicide to bring awareness to these issues in our region.
Hodgins said the filming of the movie is a testament to the talent that is in our region.
"I'm really proud to say that it's all local and that we shot 100-percent of the film here in Yakima. Being born and raised, it's always nice to showcase the talent and abilities of some of the people around here," Hodgins said.
The premier is also a fundraiser for the YWCA in Yakima.
The event runs from 6:00 to 10:00Saturday night at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are $10.00 at the door and $20.00 for VP tickets.
This is a black tie event.
This film is not for kids though, so you might want to call their babysitter before heading out the door.
