Work Van Fails to Stop at Intersection in Oregon, Nine Hurt

BOARDMAN, OR - An Atkinson Staffing work van out of Hermiston with eight people in it was hit by another car early Sunday morning after failing to stop at an intersection. It happened at around 3:30 at the intersection of Tower Road and Kunze Lane near Boardman, Oregon. Three people were in the car that hit that van.

Lifeflight helicopters took two people away with serious injuries. Ambulances took seven people to Good Shepherd Hospital and two other people were not treated.

The driver of the van, 40-year-old Sergio Obispo Poblano, of Umatilla, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

The Boardman Fire Department, Boardman Police Department, Morrow County Ambulance, Hermiston Ambulance, Oregon State Police and the Morrow County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash.
