KENNEWICK, WA - A week of bowling for a good cause kicked off Monday at Spare Time Lanes in Kennewick.

This is the 18th Annual Junior Achievement Bowling Classic and more than 2,000 business and education leaders are expected to raise $300,000 for local schools in next 6 days.

This year's theme is galaxy bowl.

Junior Achievement is a non-profit that serves more than 11,000 young people in southeastern Washington, and helps them develop their business, enterprise and financial skills.

"We have over $30,000 in prizes that are donated by the community so you get chances to go to our fabulous prize table we have a good time we're down here playing minutes to win it games, we just put on a real fun time for folks so that they come back next year and hopefully have a good time with us," said Susan Fillafer, Junior Achievement Director.

The bowling classic is their biggest and most important fundraiser of the year.
