PASCO, WA - The Educational Service District 123 has a new Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Support.

Superintendent Bruce Hawkins appointed Darcy Weisner to the position, after receiving direction by the ESD Board of Directors.

Weisner currently serves as the superintendent for the Clarkston School District. In his new role at the ESD, Weisner will provide oversight for a division that includes a multitude of programs and staff serving schools in 23 districts in southeast Washington.

"Mr. Weisner has the right background and skills to lead our largest division today and into the future," Superintendent Hawkins stated. "We are excited and delighted to have him join our team."

Weisner is replacing Mark Muxen, who held the position for nearly 10 years and plans to retire at the end of the school year. His first day with the ESD is on July 1, 2014.
