KHQ.COM - Protecting your children is a top priority for most parents and that includes protecting them from dangerous people who've harmed children in the past. There’s an on-line tool that helps parents determine who is living near them and if they’re a threat to their kids.

The website is linked to the Spokane County Sheriff’s website and is called Offender Watch. It allows the user to enter an address and see whether there are any registered sex offenders living in the area. The website also posts offenders’ names, their descriptions and their convictions.

The program is called Fix-it-Fest and is aimed to help repair damaged arterials and potholes. Here are the areas the city has listed to fix: Planned Freya – Empire to Rowan  District 1  Grind & Overlay  Planned SE Blvd – Regal to 29th Ave. District
