KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police are trying to track down a man who may have inappropriately touched a young girl on her way to school.

The 11-year-old girl told police Tuesday morning that a man came up to her on Garfield Street between 19th and 16th Avenues, and touched her buttocks and breast.

Officers say the man then threatened to kill the girl's family if she told anyone about the touching.  Police say the girl told two friends, one of them told the staff at Park Middle School, who then called police.

Officers describe the man as having a dark complexion, possibly Hispanic, with dark, curly hair with a dark goatee. The girl told Police he was wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark pants and left walking south on Garfield.

Police say anyone who has a similar experience or anyone who may have seen this incident should call the Kennewick Police Department.

To give confidential information, call Crime Stoppers at 586-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-222-TIPS.
