YAKIMA, WA - The Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has completed its review after an officer involved shooting in January.

The review states Officer Casey Gillette was justified when he shot and killed Rocendo Arias. Investigators say Arias was carrying a fake gun when Officer Gillette shot him at the Class Auto Wash on East Nob Hill Boulevard.

The review states the use of deadly force in situations where the circumstances indicate a person poses a threat of physical harm of death by threatening an officer with a weapon or displays a weapon in a manner which could reasonably be construed as threatening.

Officer Gillette was put on paid leave for several weeks but returned to work at the end of January.
