Parents Notified Of Bomb Threat At University High School

Posted: Updated:
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - University High School administrators say they were notified of a possible bomb threat found in a bathroom stall this week.

In a letter sent to parents, the staff said the threat indicated it would occur at the high school on March 4, 2014. Administrators said they have been working with law enforcement and so far have not been able to verify the credibility of the threat. Officials say school will be in session as normal on March 4th.

The letter also stated additional precautions to ensure the safety of both students and staff will be put into place. Law enforcement will be completing a sweep of the school with a bomb detection canine on Tuesday morning. There will also be increased patrols in and around the school.

Officials are asking anyone with any information that may assist them in their investigation to please come forward.
