Fourth Person Throws Name into Race for Yakima County Sheriff

YAKIMA, WA - Another candidate has thrown his name into the race for the Yakima County Sheriff position.

Rick Mottice announced in a press release Friday that he would like to run for the position. He worked for the Yakima County Sheriff's Office from 1988 to 2009.

Mottice will be running against Lieutenant Brian Winter, Sheriff's Deputy Steve Changala and Tieton Police Chief Jeff Ketchum. Current Sheriff Ken Irwin announced he will retire at the end of his term this year.
