Icy road conditions may have played a part in a rollover off of 182 Sunday morning. State Patrol told NBC Right Now a car going westbound veered off the highway and rolled down an embankment crashing through a fence. The car ended up on Argent Road in Pasco. The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance with only minor injuries.
Heading into Kennewick from Coffin Road on I-82 you may have seen a rollover on the side of the roadway. The driver hit an icy patch and skidded off the road up a hill and the vehicle flipped. Passengers were out walking around the car and as far as we know the only injuries were minor.
These were just a couple of the many weather related accidents we had heard police, troopers and rescue teams responding to. We do not want to see you out at one of those scenes so drive safely. A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of area until about 4 a.m. on Monday.
