UPDATE/SEATTLE, WA - Gresham Police say a man who went missing while en route from Gresham to Seattle, has been found safe.
Police say 76-year-old Gary Gochnour is in Seattle.
Officers say thanks to the media coverage, they received several helpful tips from people who had recently contacted the man.
Police say they aren't sure where Gochnour has been for the past two weeks, but his family is relieved to have heard from him.
Officers say he was supposed to arrive in Seattle on February 21st to live with his sister. The last time his family had heard from him was when he left Gresham three days before.
Officers say one witness claims Gochnour appears to have been in Seattle, with the U-Haul truck for several days, looking for a home to rent.
GRESHAM, WA - A man en route from Gresham to Seattle has not arrived and police are concerned for his well-being.
76-year-old Gary Gochnour was suppose to arrive in Seattle on February 21st, but he never made it to his destination. Gochnour may suffer from dementia.
On February 19th, Gochnour rented a U-Haul truck and called his sister in Seattle to come live with her. He was scheduled to arrive in Seattle on the 21st, at which time he would have returned the truck. He has not communicated since that time and the truck has not been returned to U-Haul. His roommate, the last person to see him, says he left for Seattle on February 27th.
Gochnour is a white male, 5'9" and weighs about 165 pounds. He has grey hair and no facial hair. The vehicle he was last driving is a U-Haul truck with Arizona license plate number AE80457. The truck number is TM2937E and is described as a 10 foot box truck.
