The west side of the state has some very tall trees that feline friends can scurry up and then have trouble getting back down. That's where Tom Otto and Shaun Sears come in. The two professional arborists and cat lovers volunteer their time and use specialized gear to rescue cats through their project called Canopy Cat Rescue.

    GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Police in north Georgia say they're searching for a man and woman after a gun battle involving police officers.    Gainesville police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said Saturday that two officers were hurt in the Friday night confrontation, but neither officer was shot.    Holbrook tells The Times of Gainesville that both officers were treated at a hospital for minor injuries and have been released.
