BENTON CITY, WA - The Kiona-Benton School District reported roughly $120,000 worth of damage at their administration building last October mostly to computers and the telephone system.

Deputies first believed it was vandalism but in a search warrant served last month, detectives say someone may have been trying to destroy an email or computer file.

The server was destroyed and now the Benton County Sheriff's Office is trying to recover any electronic copies of emails, drafts and calendars from the week before the incident.

NBC Right Now will continue to follow this case and bring you and new information as soon as we get it.
