State B 2014! It has such a lovely ring to it! 

The small towns have come to Spokane as they do every year to battle it out on the hardwood for State B supremacy. 

While most of the action is on the court, a lot of what makes State B so much fun is all the fans who come to cheer on their kids, grand kids, students, brothers, sisters... whatever! 

We've compiled a few photos from both the stands and the court into one big slideshow.

    WOODBINE, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia couple accused of punching a mother and daughter over being served cold chicken have pleaded guilty to the crime.    WGCL-TV reports Nathaniel and Latasha Smith entered guilty pleas last month to charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to children. Superior Court Judge Robert Guy will sentence them at a later date.

(AP) - A Tennessee woman who posted a video of her tearful son recounting being bullied at school has appeared on national media outlets to deflect accusations of racism.    Kimberly Jones told Good Morning America and CBS This Morning on Tuesday that a photo of her family with a Confederate flag posted on social media was real, but that it didn't make her a racist.

    CHICAGO (AP) - A good Samaritan helped save an 80-year-old Illinois mayor after he fell through thin ice trying to save his dog from a lake.    Homewood Mayor Richard Hofeld says he was walking his dogs with his wife on Sunday at Izaak Walton Preserve in the southern suburb of Chicago when their dog fell into a frozen lake. He says he left his cellphone in his vehicle and couldn't call for help.
